Privacy

Short version: no cookies, no tracking, and your numbers never leave your browser.

Your numbers stay on your device

The calculator runs entirely in your web browser. Your salary, pension, tax code and other answers are never sent to us or anyone else. We don't store them, and they're gone when you close the page.

No cookies, no analytics, no ads

We don't set cookies. We don't use Google Analytics, advertising pixels, social media trackers or any third-party scripts. The share buttons are plain links: nothing is loaded from social networks unless you click one.

If we ever add visitor statistics, they will be cookieless, they will not identify you, and they will only be switched on after asking for your consent.

Sharing

When you press a share button, the message you see is sent to the app or site you choose. Your salary is only included in the link if you tick "Include my salary in the link". Anyone you send that link to will see the salary in the web address.

Server logs

Like almost every website, our web server keeps a basic log of requests (IP address, date and time, page requested and browser type) to keep the site secure and working. We strip the part of the web address after the "?" before logging, so a salary in a shared link is not recorded. Logs are rotated automatically and kept for a short time.
